It was designed so something else could be: the stone, cut for brilliance, given nothing to compete with. A split cathedral band lifts it high and steps back, opening the gallery beneath so light moves through from every angle instead of stopping at the metal. No halo crowding the edges. No second stone borrowing its light. Just space, and air, and every excuse for the diamond to do exactly what it was cut to do. Because that's what this ring is actually about. Not the setting: the person it's set around. The one who was always brilliant, who never needed adding to, only the right frame to finally be seen at full light. This ring doesn't decorate her. It gets out of her way. Some rings are designed to be noticed. This one was designed so she is.
